North Texas Community Response Fund Grants Awarded to 110 Local Nonprofits

Over $900,000 in grants announced, with more to be announced soon

CFT’s North Texas Community Response Fund announces grants totaling over $900,000 to 110 local nonprofits in conjunction with the North Texas Cares funder collaborative

The North Texas Community Response Fund at CFT was established to support community needs in response to COVID-19. To date, community members have contributed $2.5M to this fund to provide support for organizations that work with people and communities most negatively affected by COVID-19. In conjunction with North Texas Cares, a newly created funder collaborative that has grown to include 30 funding partners, CFT’s philanthropy team has been reviewing applications submitted through the NorthTexasCares.org shared grant application.

CFT has made grants from the fund, totaling over $900,000 to 110 local nonprofits.

We continue to receive a high volume of applications via North Texas Cares and anticipate community needs will continue to grow for the foreseeable future. As of this week, $98 million in emergency needs from more than 1,100 nonprofits have been requested through the NorthTexasCares.org online grant application. To date, the North Texas Cares participating funders have already granted more than $35 million to nonprofits providing support for immediate needs.
