In 2018, Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld established the Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld Charitable Fund at CFT, a donor-advised fund that they use to support their passion for the arts and equity. The couple believe that creating a community where all people are treated with respect and dignity starts with fostering authentic relationships with diverse people.

Together and individually, they volunteer with and donate to organizations such as Dallas
Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, Dallas Theater Center, and Resource Center. As a couple, they have led successful fundraising galas for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Theater Center, and Dallas Summer Musicals (now Broadway Dallas).
