As a Deputy Director of Programs at Educate Texas, Andres plays a crucial role in supporting projects within the College and Career Readiness School Models portfolio while also contributing to other organizational priorities. His responsibilities include project management, video production, and the identification and promotion of key insights and efforts to accelerate student success statewide.
Before joining CFT, Andres gained valuable experience working with college access organizations, including TRiO Upward Bound, Talent Search and the National College Advising Corps. His work focused on ensuring college access for low-income, opportunity youth and families in the Rio Grande Valley region.
Andres holds a bachelor’s in mass communication from the University of Texas–Pan American and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the international honor society for public affairs and administration.

Andres serves on the library board in the City of Edinburg, where he passionately advocates for and leads the development of responsible and innovative library services accessible to all members of the public.
