Greg Campbell is President & CEO of Rainmaker, Inc., a strategic investment and advisory firm based in Dallas, TX. Greg is a long-time entrepreneur, investor and real estate developer. He has funded, operated and advised ventures across a broad array of industries in the United States, Latin America, and West Africa.
As a partner with Best Associates, a private merchant banking firm, Mr. Campbell originated and closed transactions throughout South America to create Whitney International University System (now called Illumno) serving currently 300,000 students in multiple degree programs. He was also associated with the formation of the New England College of Business and Finance, American College of Education and Academic Partnerships. Greg was a co-founder of the North Texas Opportunity Fund, a private equity firm that invested institutional money in minority and women-led middle market companies. He is an active Angel investor and is a member of the North Texas Angel Network.
Mr. Campbell was founder and CEO of HBCUsOnLine.com an educational technology business. He founded and was managing partner of Solomon Partners, a residential and mixed-use developer with projects in Dallas and New York.
Mr. Campbell currently serves on the boards of several companies including, TangoTab Inc., EnvironX Solutions, Inc., Curis Functional Health Centers and the Global Advisory Council of Cornerstone Capital Group. Previously, Mr. Campbell has served as a trustee of the New England College of Business and Finance.
Mr. Campbell has held senior marketing and management positions with Pepsi-Cola, PepsiCo, Frito-Lay and CPC International. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

An avid supporter of the community, Mr. Campbell currently serves as a board member of the Methodist Health System, the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Harlem Housing Development Corporation. Previously he has served on the boards of The Real Estate Council, Industrial Development Corporation of Dallas, and the Metroplex Advisory Board for JPMorgan Chase. He was a principal author of The Dallas Plan, a strategic platform for the city’s growth and development.
He regularly teaches an MBA seminar in corporate governance and an advanced entrepreneurial workshop at the University of Dallas. Greg is also the co-host of the Urban Advantage Podcast- the voice of the University of North Texas at Dallas and the Southern Dallas Community.
