Michael Dardick

Board of Trustees

Trustee Michael Dardick has spent over 35 years in real estate and finance focused on strategic growth initiatives and building leadership capacity. Michael serves as founding partner and chief executive officer of Granite Properties, a privately held commercial real estate investment and management company with offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston and Los Angeles.  Since its founding in 1991, Granite Properties has acquired or developed over 27 million square feet of commercial real estate.

Michael graduated with a finance degree from University of Missouri-Columbia.

Michael is chairman of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Industrial and Office Council; on the leadership committee and executive council for the University of Texas Center for Real Estate Finance and Investment; a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO-Gold) and the worldwide YPO Real Estate Network; and on the advisory boards of The Real Estate Council and the Amergy Bank Dallas.

Michael is a past president and board member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and past chairman and board member of The Real Estate Council (TREC).

He and his wife, Jill, live in Plano and have two children.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP / BOARD SERVICE

In addition to his service to CFT, Michael serves on the Children’s Health System of Texas board, the nominating and governance committee, human resources committee, real estate committee and as the inaugural chair of the Plano governing board of the Children’s Medical Center Legacy Campus. He is a board member of the Collin County Business Alliance and a member of the Dallas Citizens Council.

He previously served extensively in other roles at Children’s Medical Center on the Dallas campus board of directors, as chair of the finance and the facilities & technology committees. He was also the past chair of the capital campaign for the new Children’s Medical Center Legacy Campus. Michael was a past board member of the Vogel Alcove and Highlands Bancshares. He was one of the founding directors of Sovereign Bancshares and is a past chair of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Collin County Walk.
