Allyson left us far too early, before her 31st birthday. In those 30 years, she left an indelible mark on those who knew her. In addition to being a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend she lived a life of service to others. Allyson believed in a higher calling having volunteered countless hours at Ronald McDonald House and Scottish Rite as well as annually raising money and participating in the Susan G. Komen Three Day Walk.
Beyond her early days among her parents and sister, Allyson’s foundation of a caring, achievement-oriented Catholic began with her amazing experiences in school. She will always be remembered by those who loved her most for her heart of service which is very much a reflection of her time spent at Prince of Peace Catholic School and Ursuline Academy of Dallas, two schools where she made some of her best of friends and learned some of life’s greatest lessons. Special relationships, service to others, and unrelenting devotion to her family define much of Allyson’s Legacy.
In honor of our beloved Allyson, our Family has established this Fund with a mission to helping others primarily by awarding scholarships to deserving students pursuing educational goals at Prince of Peace and Ursuline Academy, who might not be able to otherwise attend. Jody, Steve, and Sharon will select nominated students each year to receive financial support to attend these marvelous schools. Although our Allyson is no longer with us, we aim to provide a way for her spirit to live on by helping to provide others an opportunity to learn, serve and succeed such as she did.
Above you see a picture of Allyson holding her baby, Caroline. When Allyson died, Caroline was not yet 7 weeks old. We want to use the good works provided though this fund to help Caroline someday understand just what a loving woman of service her Mommy was.
Please join us in contributing to The Allyson Bohannon Goldman Memorial Fund in furtherance of her memory and in support of deserving young women in our community.
Thank you,
Jody Goldman, Sharon and Steve Bohannon
