North Texas Giving Day is back in its 13th year, celebrating the most generous day of the year on Thursday, September 23, 2021! From 6 a.m. to midnight, our region will support the nonprofits that are doing critical work, ensuring that communities and neighbors have what they need to live healthy, whole, thriving lives.

A charitable remainder trust (“CRT”) is a “split interest” charitable planning tool that allows your client to transfer an asset (in this case, real estate) to an irrevocable trust, retain an income stream, and earmark what’s left (the “remainder”) to pass to a charity or charities of the client’s choice.

The Bush Institute’s 2021 North Korea Freedom Scholarship recipients have been announced. The scholars, who are refugees from North Korea, have been awarded a total of $50,000 to pursue higher education and build productive, prosperous lives as new Americans.

Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day 2021 launches with the announcement of Amazon as the event’s inaugural presenting sponsor. The 13th annual Giving Day follows another record-setting year, where more than 106,000 donors raised $58.8 million for more than 3,000 nonprofits!
