Celebrate Forever Families is a nonprofit ministry that provides a no-cost residential program and emergency shelter for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. They are seeking passionate board members who enjoy marketing, fundraising, and event planning.

As a board member of Celebrate Forever Families ministry, you’ll serve as the fiduciary who helps direct the ministry toward a sustainable future adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance as well as financial management policies to ensure adequate resources are available to advance Celebrate Forever Families’ mission.
The board provides foresight, oversight and insight as follows:
- Duty of care by ensuring prudent use of all assets, including facility, people and goodwill.
- Duty of loyalty by ensuring that the activities and transactions are advancing Forever Families mission by making decisions that are in the best interest of Forever Families not posing any conflicts of interest.
- Duty of obedience by applying laws and regulations that govern Forever Families ministry as well as ensuring the bylaws are being adhered to.
- Duty to support and review the performance of the Executive Director.
- Determine and monitor the programs and services offered by Forever Families.
- Establish committees for fundraising, policy and procedure oversight and financial oversight.

Board members should:
- Have board experience (preferred, but not required)
- Attend meetings held a minimum of once a quarter and up to once a month
Board service terms last one year.
