CPSH is seeking board members that have good character, integrity, the gift of time, and a willingness to use their personal and professional resources and skills to advance the organization’s mission. Crucial to the organization’s near-term success are board members who will increase community awareness of their existence and the needs they address, through personal and business networks. CPSH seeks to diversify their board, especially in terms of the demographic make-up of members, as it accurately reflects the community they serve. They are looking for individuals with preferred skills in marketing, social media, real estate, communications/PR, medical/social services, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

- Board members are expected to give 6-10 hours of volunteer time per month
- All board members are expected to make a personally meaningful financial contribution
- Board members are expected to participate in fundraising activities

The board meets 6 times per year. Attendance at all or most meetings is appreciated.
They look for examples that show a candidate has passion to assist people with disabilities in pursuing their best lives.
