Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation

  • The mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. The Foundation works to fulfill its mission by funding research; providing educational resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public; and furnishing supportive services for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is the largest voluntary nonprofit health organization dedicated to finding cures for IBD.

If you are interested in serving on this board, please contact Jacquelin Leech at jleech@crohnscolitisfoundation.org

  • The board is seeking new members to serve one-year terms.

As volunteer leaders of the Foundation, members of the leadership board work in collaboration with staff to implement strategies outlined in the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Strategic Plan and will bring together volunteers to support those activities on a local level. Board members share their wisdom, professional expertise, community contacts, and financial resources.

Board members are responsible for raising funds in accordance with established national priorities, developing and nurturing relationships that will enhance and advance the mission, implementing patient and professional education programs as articulated in the strategic plan, and maintaining a strong presence in the community.

    • Attend quarterly board meetings.
    • Make an annual personal contribution. There is no minimum, though as a guide, the Foundation asks that contributions are of personal significance and comparable to other top charitable gifts. The Foundation has a give or get goal of $5,000.
