Dallas Academy

  • Founded in 1965, Dallas Academy provides specialized education to students with learning differences which may include impairments in reading (dyslexia), writing (dysgraphia), and math (dyscalculia), ADD/ADHD, ASD (level 1) and processing disorders. Dallas Academy, located next to White Rock Lake, serves about 185 students in 1st-12th grade by a highly skilled staff, small class sizes, individualized student attention and support, and an amazing arts/music program, athletics program, and extracurricular activities.

  • The Dallas Academy is looking for four new board members to begin terms in July 2024. The organization encourages applications from individuals with the ability to work cooperatively and strategically with a team. The board needs:

    • Members who can provide expertise in areas that support the school’s strategic planning goals and priorities
    • Members with leadership experience
    • Attend board meetings every other month
    • Support the school financially as possible
  • Board service terms last one year.
