Family Promise of Collin County

  • Family Promise’s mission is to help families with children experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. Its vision is to be a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.

  • The board is seeking two new members to serve three-year terms. Family Promise aims to enhance the diversity of its board, especially in the areas of gender and age. Skills in fundraising and marketing are preferred.

    • Attend meetings held on the third Monday of each month from January to November. Currently, members meet via Zoom but will return to in-person meetings in the summer.
    • Serve on a board committee that may meet outside of the scheduled monthly board meetings.
    • Financially support the organization at a level that is comfortable.
    • The general time requirement is roughly five hours per month.
  • New board members can be voted in at any time throughout the year. Members may also serve two terms consecutively.
