MEED Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established in 1999 by the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (Asian Chamber of Texas) with the purpose of helping the low to moderate income community, new immigrants, and refugees in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and adjoining areas of North Texas. MEED Center has been providing its clients entrepreneurial education and basic training for job readiness and for starting a small business. It has also taught ESL (English as Second Language) and computer classes. MEED Center later expanded its program and services to include business incubation and business assistance.
MEED Center has graduated hundreds of low – moderate income individuals and students from new immigrant and refugee communities for over 15 years. In the past five years, there has been a large influx of immigrants and refugees in the DFW metroplex and this has raised the demand for more assistance programs and services for these communities.
If you are interested to serve as a board member of MEED Center then please contact Galileo Jumaoas at gal@gdaacc.com or Sushma Malhotra at smlibra@gmail.com or Vinod Mathur at vrmathur@tx.rr.com
