The National Black MBA Association Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering connections and growth opportunities among DFW African-American professionals, corporations, and the community. The chapter was established in 1989 and has three key pillars: Career Exploration, Leadership and Professional Development, and Economic Prosperity. Through these pillars, the NBMBAA DFW Chapter helps its members achieve their professional aspirations, develop essential skills, and gain financial knowledge.

The Dallas Academy is looking for four new board members to begin terms now. The organization’s board is unpaid and members must be part of the National Black MBA Association. Membership is available to all regardless of gender, race, or educational background. The board needs a:
- Vice President-Treasurer: Will set, guide, and maintain chapter financial policies. Should have a Finance or Accounting background and a minimum of two years of professional experience
- Marketing Chair: Should have a Marketing background, and a minimum of two years of professional experience in Marketing communications and Strategy
- Membership Co-Chair – Fort Worth: Preferably resides in Tarrant County and has key relationships with local businesses, universities, venues, and organizations
- Strategy Chair: Should have strong analytical and problem solving-skills with a proven track record of strategic leadership and planning experience in a nonprofit or business setting

- Must be a member of the national association
- Get or give a minimum of $250 annually
- Attend at least 9 of 12 monthly meetings annually and support the chapter’s programs

Board service terms last two years. Note there are additional monthly meetings for committee chairs.
