Riding Unlimited is dedicated to turning disabilities into possibilities through the power of the horse. They are a Premier Accredited therapeutic horsemanship program that teaches horsemanship to the disabled as a unique form of therapy. They have been providing services to the North Texas community for over 30 years.
Although it is not required, persons unfamiliar with equine assisted services would benefit from participating in at least one day of volunteering in the riding lessons to better understand what therapeutic horsemanship involves. Although they have been providing services for over 30 years, they do not have the financial ability to grow into other forms of equine assisted services. Given the current atmosphere of increased mental health issues, an equine counseling program would fit into the needs of the community but they do not have the financial means to provide it.

They are looking for three new board members who are familiar with nonprofit management, fundraising, and capacity building.

Their board meets once a month for about two hours. Zoom participation is available as well. Board service terms last two years.
