Stomping Ground Comedy Theater is Dallas’ only nonprofit comedy theater in the Dallas Design District that aims to make comedy accessible to all. It offers a range of comedy classes and shows for the Dallas community. Stomping Ground provides scholarships for diverse voices for comedy classes and for therapeutic programming. The process of learning improv can teach invaluable life skills, and Stomping Ground’s mission is to share these skills with the community.
Stomping Ground Comedy Theater offers a wide range of programs for different populations such as; kids and adults with anxiety, autism, Alzheimer’s/ dementia, caregivers, families, youth, residents without homes, couples, physicians/healthcare professionals, and corporations. It has served thousands and has worked with nearly 100 local and national organizations in a short amount of time. Stomping Ground is seeking enthusiastic and diverse board members to help the organization as it enters its fifth year.

Board members should have nonprofit experience and a passion and enthusiasm for the arts and mental health. Board experience is preferred.

- Board members meet quarterly, although the meeting frequency may increase soon.
- Board members must make a fundraising commitment of $3,000 per year through one or more of the following activities;
- Donating or generating donations by participating in fundraisers, soliciting corporate sponsors, or by serving on a fundraiser committee.
- Volunteering – each volunteer hour counts for $20 of the annual commitment. Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to, planning events, administrative or consultative remote work, building/painting/maintenance, and working MOD/Usher/Tech/Box Office shifts during performances.
- Chair a Committee – if one or more 2-year strategic goals are met, this will satisfy the full fundraising commitment.
