The Veteran Women’s Enterprise Center (VWEC) supports our nation’s female veterans, active duty, reservists, and military spouses by providing structured, application-based business development programs empowering them for success. The VWEC is committed to creating programs that help their clients develop the social and financial capital necessary to grow their businesses during and beyond the pandemic.

The Board is seeking nine new members to serve on their advisory board and board of directors. Ideal members are passionate about working with entrepreneurial military wives and servicewomen and willing to work hard and devote time to support and grow the VWEC. Members must attend the VWEC Annual Board Retreat and promote VWEC events and social media.

Advisory Board
- Attend quarterly board meetings
- Members must attend 75% of scheduled board meetings, held quarterly
- Supporting board work is not required but encouraged
- Attend a minimum of 2 VWEC events per year
- $2500 give/get annual contribution due at start of term
Board of Directors
- Members must attend 75% of scheduled monthly board meetings
- Officers must attend 90% of scheduled monthly board meetings
- Members must provide a minimum of 5 hours of supporting board work per month
- Members must attend a minimum of 5 VWEC events per year
- $500 Annual Board of Directors Dues due at start of board term
- Serve on at least one committee (Fundraising, Membership, HR, Finance, Nomination Committee)
