Vickery Trading Company equips refugee women for long-term success through vocational training, personal development, and fair wages.
Vickery Trading Co. trains refugee women to sew at a professional level while caring for their holistic needs through English classes, computer and financial classes, mental health services, case management, and job placement upon graduation. The nonprofit also operates a social enterprise for the clothes made by women in training.

Vickery Trading Co. is searching for new board members to begin terms in the summer or fall of 2024. Board member terms last three years:
- It is preferred that volunteers have nonprofit board experience and/or experience in finance, retail, & fashion industries
- The board would also benefit from an attorney
- Ethnic diversity is encouraged

- Board members are asked to “give or get” $15,000 per year
- Attend at least 80% of board meetings held (there are eight meetings per year) as well as major events like fundraisers and graduations (three per year)
- Engage in networking opportunities
- Attend a two day overnight board retreat
- VISIT THEIR SITE
