Armanino teammates work together to give back and trust CFT to manage their charitable funds

The team of independent accountants, advisors, and administrators at Armanino would rather spend their time working together to help others than vetting the many nonprofit organizations they support and managing the company’s charitable fund. That’s why Armanino  established a business-advised fund at Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT). “CFT provides an outstanding opportunity to channel engagement in charitable giving, organizes activities and streamlines efforts for us,” said Harold Gaar, managing Travis Wolffpartner. “CFT is not just managing our funds, but also active participation of our employees.”

The staff of Armanino is very involved in CFT for Business, and the company was instrumental in making CFT's Freedom Day project a success as its employees worked with more than 400 other volunteers to give Sarah Zumwalt Middle School in South Dallas a makeover. “We don’t direct our employees; we enable them,” Gaar said. “Volunteering creates a sense of community and a sense of giving while working with other like-minded people. It extends charitable giving and extends business relationships, too.”

The Fallen Family Fund at CFT supports Freedom Day

“It’s been the greatest gift,” said Nancy. “I feel like what granddad gave us was an opportunity – an opportunity to make a difference and to explore within ourselves something he had already figured out: lifting up the people around you is what matters most. He knew that the fund could bring good to others but also to us as we practiced generosity together.”
