Make the Most of Your Membership

Leverage all the benefits your Business Impact Network membership offers!

Did you know?

There might be CFT for Business membership benefits you aren’t taking advantage of!
Over the years, the Business team has added features to our programs that only some of our members are using. We’re sharing this information with the hope that every Business Impact Network member will leverage all the benefits their membership offers!

We want to collaborate with you to create meaningful and impactful experiences that are second to none for you and your people. This begins with the community engagement survey that every member company is offered to align their business values with employee passions.

One thing we know about corporate social responsibility and environmental, social and governance trends is that this annual or biannual survey makes your program design more inclusive by informing it with the voice of your people. Studies show that feeling seen, heard and included is important to every generation in the workplace today.

Members at every level of our network also receive the Be in Good Company Seal of Excellence and access to:

  • Volunteer Service Days with the following causes or themes:
    • January – MLK National Day of Service
    • March – International Women’s Day
    • June – LGBTQIA+ Pride Month
    • August – Back to School
    • September – National Day of Service and Remembrance
    • October – Latiné Heritage Month
    • November – Veteran’s Day
    • December – Family-friendly project addressing hunger

  • National Volunteer Month – April: three to five experiences/week with the following themes:
    • Week 1 – Health
    • Week 2 – Learning
    • Week 3 – Living
    • Week 4 – Wealth

  • Networking and Educational Events
    • February – Black History Month Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Learning
    • March – National Volunteer Month kickoff celebration and nonprofit fair
    • May – Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month DEI Learning
Beginning at the Community Supporter level ($5,000), member companies are eligible for service day participation for 10 people, National Volunteer Month experiences for up to 25, two custom volunteer events, an annual community engagement survey and goal setting session, and a NTX Giving Day custom giving page.

This is a great offering for companies with 100 or fewer employees. Have you used all these services this year? If not, let’s schedule time to collaborate and build your plan.

At the higher membership levels, Community Partner ($10,000) and Community Leader ($25,000), membership delivers access to all the above for more people plus many additional benefits and increased program customization.

Perhaps the greatest benefit is being part of an amazing network of businesses that are diverse in size, leadership, industry, and focus. This creates fantastic opportunities to learn and grow with each other while expanding your personal network and identifying partnership and collaboration opportunities. We truly are better together!

Be on the lookout for a new brochure outlining the benefits of our Business Impact Network memberships soon. We will also be publishing a new Engagement Guide covering the many ways your business can partner with Communities Foundation of Texas in 2023.

We are grateful to serve you as you #DoTheGood in our community and appreciate your membership!

The Fallen Family Fund at CFT supports Freedom Day

“It’s been the greatest gift,” said Nancy. “I feel like what granddad gave us was an opportunity – an opportunity to make a difference and to explore within ourselves something he had already figured out: lifting up the people around you is what matters most. He knew that the fund could bring good to others but also to us as we practiced generosity together.”

Throughout 2018, 1st Global continued to live out one of the company’s guiding principles: aspiring to servant leadership through community outreach and volunteerism. Supported by a now three-year partnership with Communities Foundation of Texas for Business, 1st Global has annually increased its social responsibility efforts in the Dallas community.

Partnering with local companies like NETSCOUT to help business philanthropy thrive

Partnering with local companies like NETSCOUT to help business philanthropy thrive

When NETSCOUT needed a partner to implement and launch their local charitable grant program, they turned to Communities Foundation of Texas.

This past fall, NETSCOUT established a charitable fund known as a business-advised fund with CFT. Next, CFT helped NETSCOUT engage their employees in learning how nonprofits are addressing important issues in the community and choosing focus areas for the company’s grant funds.
