Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy (ELP)

Our ELP program is a training and networking program for corporate and nonprofit employees aged 25 – 40 focused on the philanthropy landscape in North Texas. The cohort will have the opportunity to learn about Communities Foundation of Texas focus areas of philanthropy, hear from established foundations and corporations about their vision for positive change, and learn about key touchpoints the community hopes to make an impact on in the future. Through the process, the cohort will hear directly from nonprofits and work together to allocate funding and plan for their own charitable giving.

One of the things we learned firsthand in CFT’s ELP program is that while monetary donations are very helpful for nonprofits, the time, effort, and skills that volunteers bring make a huge impact on organizations.
