Dave Scullin retired from his role as President and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas in March 2023. A search for his successor is underway. Considering the strength and experience of the senior management team in place and the limited time period involved, the Board of Trustees has concluded that there will not be a need for an interim CEO.

Frank Risch, a former Board member and past Board Chair of CFT has taken the role of “Special Adviser to the Chair” to provide helpful connectivity between the Board and the executive leadership and help to facilitate the continuity of operations during this interim period.

In this role, Frank is closely available both to CFT’s Executive Leadership Team, participating in their meetings and being available to them for consultation, and to the Board Chair. Frank began this role prior to the retirement of Dave Scullin and will continue until a new CEO has commenced service.
