Palacios Area Scholarship
The Palacios Area Fund Scholarships award up to five one-time $500 to $1000 scholarships each year to graduating seniors of Palacios High School in the State of Texas. These scholarships may be used at any accredited college, university, junior college, vocational institute or trade school in the United States.
- Clarence G. Ripke, Jr. Scholarship: student must show an interest in the sport of baseball, be it physical or through collecting baseball memorabilia. Both male and female students should apply and applicants do not need to pursue a career in the sport to be eligible.
- Edward O. Morris Scholarship: student must show evidence of financial need, demonstrate scholastic ability, good citizenship and exercise Christian values.
- Bill and Carolyn Bradshaw Scholarship for Students with Disabilities: students who experience either physical or mental disabilities and/or are enrolling in a career program to help people who have disabilities.
- Smith/Holst Endowment Scholarship: to provide the encouragement and financial support of a deserving student with inadequate financial resources the opportunity to get a firm start.
- Warren M. Morris III Scholarship: to provide encouragement and financial support to a deserving student enrolling in a STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) career program.

- Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors of Palacios High School in the State of Texas.

Selection criteria includes school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need as determined by the scholarship committee. All recipients must be citizens or documented legal residents of the United States.
Student must submit two letters of recommendation, one of which should be from a teacher, coach or principal.
