Molly Katherine Mullens exuded radiant joy and a loving, welcoming spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. Born to parents Michael and Marissa on January 29, 2015, Molly’s precious young life was tragically cut short during a car accident in Vernon, Texas on March 16, 2024, as her family was returning from a Spring Break ski trip in Colorado. She was loved dearly by her older brothers, Sean and Connor, and grandparents, Mema and Grandpa Pat.
Known to her family, friends, and teachers as an outgoing, bubbly, and energetic girl, Molly was a literal ray of bright pink sunshine that instantly filled any room. Her infectious happiness uplifted those around her, and she always had a smile ready to brighten anyone’s day. Full of words and creativity, Molly loved to talk. She was not shy and made friends with everyone she met. Not surprisingly, her favorite activity was spending time with friends – and her favorite color was pink. A Pink Panther on the soccer field and a star on stage during acting classes, Molly truly shined in every way.
Molly’s intelligence, humor, and kindness endeared her to every person she encountered, no matter their age. Molly was an incredible friend who loved school, her classmates, and especially her teachers. With a natural servant’s heart that embodied God’s command to love her neighbors, Molly was always eager to help others and be an active part of the community. Her classmates recall her generosity and selflessness that allowed her to quickly welcome new people into groups, creating instant connections because it was important to Molly that no one should ever feel left out.
In addition to her vibrant personality and love for her friends, Molly cherished her family deeply. She was often with her mom in the kitchen doing thoughtful things, such as baking a cake for the school crossing guard, or playing with her most adored dog, Ally.
Despite her young age, Molly’s presence left a lasting mark on the hearts of her loved ones, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Your giving will help us continue to make Molly’s presence felt by all those who knew her.
