DentaQuest Contributes $1M to COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Grants will support communities during the pandemic and throughout the recovery period

The DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement today announced a set of grants totaling $1M to organizations supporting relief efforts for underserved populations and regions hit hardest by COVID-19, including communities that are experiencing disproportionate effects of the pandemic.

In its headquarters state of Massachusetts, the DentaQuest Partnership contributed $200,000 to The Boston Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund. “The COVID-19 pandemic is an unrelenting challenge for thousands of people in Greater Boston and for the nonprofits who serve the community,” said Paul S. Grogan, President and CEO of the Boston Foundation. “We are deeply appreciative of DentaQuest for stepping up with this donation, which will allow us to provide critical support funds to even more nonprofits so they can continue their vital work through this pandemic and in the long recovery process to come.”

The DentaQuest Partnership also contributed $145,000 to each of the following:

  • United Way of New York City’s COVID-19 Community Fund
  • The Cleveland Foundation’s Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund
  • The Communities Foundation of Texas’s North Texas Community Response Fund
  • Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties’ COVID-19 Response Fund
  • Decolonizing Wealth Project’s Native American Community Response Fund

A final grant of $75,000 was made to the Arizona Community Foundation’s Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund.

“We commend DentaQuest on their demonstration of corporate community leadership through their support of COVID-19 relief efforts. The DentaQuest mission of improving the oral health of all is aligned with our vision of building thriving communities for all. Many in need are being helped, and we’re so grateful for DentaQuest’s significant contribution to our North Texas Community Response Fund.” said Dave Scullin, President and CEO, Communities Foundation of Texas

“We remain firmly focused on our goals of achieving oral health for all and driving broad systemic changes,” said Dr. Myechia Minter-Jordan, President and Chief Executive Officer of the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement and Catalyst Institute, Inc. “During this extraordinary social, economic and health care crisis, these one-time grants are providing resources to community organizations that are best positioned to meet the immediate and ongoing needs of some of the most vulnerable populations during the pandemic and through the recovery period.”
