As a program associate, Cristal supports projects within the Educate Texas College and Career Readiness portfolio by assisting with the design, delivery and coordination of professional development and technical assistance.
Prior to joining CFT, Cristal was a graduate assistant for Southern Methodist University’s continuing and professional education division, helping plan and deliver short courses and customized learning courses. She also was a coordinator for University of Texas–Arlington’s Upward Math and Science Program, helping high school students in rural communities with college preparation. She taught sixth grade Spanish with Uplift Education.
She holds a bachelor’s in psychology and Spanish and a master’s in higher education from SMU.
