Decolonizing the Music Room is looking for two new board members to join their board. It is a fundraising board because their main organizational needs are building sustainable funding for operations and programs. They are seeking board members with connections and experience in development and fundraising, who have a lived experience of being racially minoritized, and who are familiar/comfortable with antiracist, decolonizing, and abolitionist frameworks. They are developing a governance structure outside of traditional board models.
The board meets quarterly and is expected to contribute 5-10 hours a month and fundraise a minimum of $15,000 a year.
If you are interested in serving on this board or volunteering, please contact Brandi Waller-Pace at bwpace@decolonizingthemusicroom.com
