Tom Montgomery

Trustee Tom Montgomery brings a wealth of business and financial experience to the board. Tom is a managing member of Montgomery Capital Advisers, LLC, and remains involved with Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP. His primary disciplines include advanced tax planning, transactional services — particularly mergers, acquisitions — debt/equity financing for both public and private companies, and strategic and operational planning for large and medium-sized businesses.

Prior to forming the firm, Tom was responsible for starting and growing Beal Capital Markets, Inc., an investment subsidiary of Beal Bank specializing in public and private corporate finance products. When he left, Beal Capital Markets had invested in excess of $2 billion in a diversified portfolio of high yield bonds and direct company investments.

Prior to joining Beal Capital Markets, Inc., Tom was the founding and managing partner of Montgomery Baggett & Drews, LLP, a 25 professional, full-service CPA firm in Dallas. Tom’s primary activity with the firm was assisting companies in tax, merger and acquisition, and financing transactions.

Tom holds a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in accounting and taxation from Texas Tech University. He is also a certified public accountant.

Tom and his wife, Beth, live in Dallas and have three children.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP / BOARD SERVICE

In addition to his service to CFT, Tom is chairman of the Children’s Medical Center – Dallas board, he sits on the board of directors of Children’s Health System of Texas, Inc. and Children’s Health System of Texas Foundation. He is also a board member for Southwestern Medical District and Dallas Medical Resource Alliance.
